ELEVATED FOR A PURPOSE

 *BIBLE VERSE*

_For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?_
 *Esther 4:14*

 *MEDITATION*

At certain points in life you may  find yourself in a position where you have to stand up against injustice, even at great personal risk.Esther, a Jewish woman in Persia, faced such a challenge when she became queen and discovered a plot to annihilate her people.

Esther’s story begins with her being chosen by King Xerxes after his previous queen, Vashti, was banished for disobedience. Esther's rise to queenship was marked by her grace and humility, qualities that endeared her to the king. Her uncle Mordecai, who raised her, also found favor with the king after uncovering a plot against him.

Haman, a powerful noble, harbored deep hatred for Mordecai because he refused to bow to him. This hatred led Haman to convince the king to decree the destruction of all Jews in the kingdom. Faced with this horrifying plot, Esther had to decide whether to risk her life by revealing her Jewish identity and pleading for her people.
There are times when you had to rely on your faith to make a tough decision?

Esther’s courage to approach the king without being summoned, which could have led to her death, exemplifies the strength derived from faith and purpose. Her actions not only saved her people but also demonstrated the impact one person can have when they choose to act bravely.

Reflect on your own life. Are there situations where you need to take a stand for what is right, even if it means facing great risks? Trust in God’s guidance and strength, just as Esther did, and remember that your actions can make a significant difference.

Take inspiration from Esther's bravery and trust that God has placed you where you are for a reason.Pray for the wisdom and strength to act rightly, even when the risks are high.

 *PRAYER*

Heavenly Father, as I listen to the story of Esther today, help me to realize that every ounce of influence You have given me is for a specific purpose. Help me to realize for such a time as this, You have given me the ability to stand in the gap for those who can't stand for themselves. With this responsibility, I also acknowledge that You have given me the ability to have uncommon favor with those who can change the situation of Your children for good. Therefore, I will not standby when I have the ability to speak up, I will not watch as Your children live below the callings that You have for them. Strengthen my resolve, silence all fear and give me strength like the roar of a lion to speak on Your behalf. I will not be timid and I will not be afraid when the time comes. For such a time as this like Esther…You have elevated me and I'm ready! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
